My Joy

Hello friends ( if you are still there!) I know its been awhile, but this year has been a huge change around our household! I went back to work this year, after being home for the last 8! To say we have been adjusting is an understatement, and I have spent much of my free time enjoying time with my kiddos and the hubby! I think we have finally figured this whole working mom thing out though, and my hopes are to get back into the swing of things!

Today, I am going to share a layout with you that I made using a favorite Christmas photo from last year, and the Cable Knit kit from Noel Mignon.

I loved this dark woodgrain paper, and how the lighter colors really popped off of it, and brought focus to my photo. 

I really loved the Joy mixed media piece from Jillibean Soup, and thought it was perfect layered over the wood veneer from Elle's Studio! Glad I held onto that one! ;)

Then for just a little extra "oomph", I added in this gorgeous gold cord, wrapped around the photo, it really helps to draw in the eye even more. A few enamel shapes, some gold splatters, and I called it done!

Dear Santa...

Hi all!!! It's Friday!! Busy weekend ahead for us with Miss Emma's birthday, and finishing up that tiny little bit of last minute Christmas shopping. Hoping to sneak in some crafty time too!! ;)

Today I have a couple of layouts to share that I made using the adorable "Dear Santa" paper collection from mambi. It's adorable, and I really just had fun with these layouts.

Here is the first one....

Adorable, right? I couldn't resist fussy cutting those snowmen out.

Here is the second layout made using this same pad of mambi sheets...

I loved the candy canes down the side, so tried something different, and made my photo and may focal point off the other side. Love the fun vibe it gave it!
