So Happy Together

Hello friends! Today I have a layout to share with using the Feels Like Home kit from Felicity Jane. I loved the soft colors and patterns in this kit. I knew this black and white photo would be a perfect one to pair with it. I love how it really pops.

On the cut aparts, there were all of the cute words..I thought it would be fun to add in a few on here. I used a white gel pen to add an "s" to the end of sister. I also used some of that gold thread to smoosh a little up under my layers for some fun texture.

Then, I wanted to add in another little cluster of embellishment in the top corner...it just felt like it needed something. I used this ticket from the cut apart sheet, and stamped a few different sentiments on it, layered it with a heart from the cut apart sheet, and loved the little bit of extra it added.

Looking back at this photo now, I can believe how much my babies have grown up! So crazy to think that this was over a year ago..times flies, we have to remember to enjoy every moment!

Have a good one, and take time to create something you love!

Paw Patrol

Hello crafty friends! I have a super fun layout to share with you today. If you have a toddler, chances are you know all about Paw Patrol...well a few weeks back, we went to the state fair and had a chance to do a little meet and greet with some of the characters. To say we had one excited little boy would definitely be an understatement.

I knew that I wanted to do bright, bold primary colors on this one...because Paw Patrol is bright, and also because said excited little boy also very much loves the color red.

How fun is this layout..I mean seriously, it just makes you smile! :) For the photo "mat", I did a few paper layers, but I really had fun using stencils and stamps behind that. I love all the added interest and texture that it adds, all the while drawing your eye into the photo.

Then for the title, I knew I wanted to do it in a bright bold red, and when I saw this Tall Type font from The Cut Shoppe, I knew it was perfect. I cut this out on white cardstock, with the intention of using watercolors...but I just couldn't get them to be bold enough, so I actually ended up coloring over my watercolor with a red copic. LOVE how bold this turned out, perfect for the look I wanted.

Then to finish it off, I went looking through my stash for anything bright, and fun. I kept embellishing pretty light, but these little bits were the perfect touches!

Thanks for stopping in today, have a good one, and take time to create something you love!

Sweet, Beautiful Princess....in training

Hi everyone!!! So excited to  share my very first layout as a member of the Noel Mignon design team with you!! I was beyond excited when Virginia contacted me about joining this team. I am honored to be among the amazing talent on this team, and I absolutely love the sweet community.

So here is my first layout using the "Fresh Start" kit.

I love the colors in this kit, and it was so good to go with these photos of my oldest daughter from our recent Disney trip. The minute I saw this "princess in training" saying on one of the papers, I knew it had to be fussy cut, and used on this layout!

I had so much fun layering and just using all the fun girly elements that I could for this one! I am having  a problem with those glitter heart toothpicks...I love them so much I want to use them all, but then I love them so much I want to keep them all! ha!

I'm also up on the Noel Mignon blog today, sharing this layout and a few organizational tips if you want to head over and check it out!

Thanks for stopping in today, and hope you take time to create something you love!!!

Imagination

My girls have the best imaginations, I don't remember playing and pretending and just enjoying life when I was younger as they do. I feel alot of this comes from their absolute love for books. These girls love reading and looking at pictures in any and every book they can find. AND I LOVE IT!!! :) I am so thankful that they have this desire to learn and grow and imagine. I hope they keep it forever! :)

When they posted the Guest Design Team challenge over at Sketchy Thursdays and I saw the sketch, and that the theme needed to have something to do with reading, I knew exactly what I wanted the layout to be about, our messy book shelves and random piles of books throughout the house. My mom would die if she saw my house sometimes, lol, but I don't care. I love walking down the hallway and seeing the girls laying there with a pile of books "reading" them to each other. Anyways, lol, I used those pics for my layout...the piles and the mess, and I put them together with some Cosmo Cricket and Basic Grey, and came up with this beauty, that I must say I am pretty proud of...it's really pretty simple, but the colors and patterns are so far out there for me that I feel like I accomplished something major. LOL!

I have some stamping, some embossing, some misting, die cutting, I went a little crazy on this one, but I love it! :)

You have til Saturday to enter the GDT challenge! Go check it out...also check out the design team call they are having...I'm seriously debating!! :)

Remember, blog hop this weekend!!! :)

Have a blessed day!!
