Banner Mania!!!

Everywhere you look lately there are banners, banners, and more banners!! I personally love them!! The challenge over at Frosted Designs and the issue challenge at Club Ck this week were both to incorporate banners on a layout...I have had this idea rolling around in my mind for awhile and thought this was the perfect time to give it a try!! I am really getting into layering and clusters too!! Here is the layout I made for both challengs...

I used lots of Crate Paper's Neighborhood collection on here, and Studio Calico's veneer butterflies...I LOVE those!! I am going to have to order more soon!!! Also used up some old embellishments on here...trying to get my stash cleaned out!!!

Another Sketchy Thursday Layout!!

I am so glad that I found Sketchy Thursdays!! They have such cute sketches! I had fun with this one, I almost didn't do it, because it was for a GDT spot, but I really like the sketch, and I figured it would be a good way for me to get some feedback! They had this awesome sketch...

We were asked to use Spring colors on it. For some reason the photo that most inspired me for this sketch n(and the colors) was a picture of Katlyn from Halloween...not sure why exactly, but I think it turned out really well with the colors I chose.

Not the best picture...shadows were messing with me...but I LOVE this LO!! I really feel that I am starting to step out of my scrappy comfort zone, and I am loving the results!!

Purge Challenge

I was just part of a purge challenge over at Club CK...each person had a partner and then each partner sent a kit to the other and we made LOs, cards, whatever type of project we wanted and today we had the reveal to compare our projects.  What made this fun was that each partner had 2 identical kits..so it was interesting to see how each person made it there own. Here are the LO's I made...

Layout for Sketchy Thursday

This is the sketch this week over at Sketchy Thursdays...super cute ( as always)




I used lots of Echo Park on this and am really pleased with the way it turned out. Love all the bright spring colors...and that pretty chocolate covered face just makes me want to smile :)

Days Like These

I have noticed lately how fast time is going by...how quickly the girls are growing up...and how I get so caught up in life and all the other things going on that I sometimes forget to just stop and enjoy them, to stop and enjoy Derek, to just stop and enjoy the blessings that are constantly poured down upon me.  I made this layout to kinda get in those everyday random moments that really mean so much more than all the "big" ones. I am so happy with the way this turned out...hope to do lots more like this one!

I am still new to photographing these layouts...so bear with me while I get that all figured out :)
