Pocket Pages Monthly Review...Catching Up

Hi everyone!! I'm finally getting around to getting my Project 12 pages caught up. I was doing so good at keeping up, and then school started and it was all down hill from there. So trying to finish those up, and decide if I'm going to continue on for 2014. Very undecided at this point. This is probably my favorite album, but I'm just not sure if it's for me.

Anyways...here are my September layouts.

Love using mambi product for these pocket pages...makes it so easy, and isn't the orientation of the protectors fun! Loved working with this one! Here are a few close ups.

This was such a fun spread to make, loved how colorful it ended up being! :)

Thanks for hopping in today, and take time to create something you love!!!

Lovely Day Together

Hi all!! I have a new layout up on the Noel Mignon blog today using the Fresh Start kit. For this layout I was inspired by fair ribbon embellishments like these:

American Crafts - Dear Lizzy Neapolitan Collection - Fair Ribbons at Scrapbook.com $4.99

These are from the Dear Lizzy Neapolitan and the My Girl collection, both from American Crafts.
I thought it would be fun to take this inspiration and instead of using it as an embellishment, to work it with my photo to be the main focal point.

I fussy cut the banner from an Elle's Studio paper that was included in the kit, and then simply added in more texture and dimension with more layers and embellishment.

My final layout has all the embellishment centered under my photo which help to draw your eye to it. My using the lighter pastel colors with the darker tones of my photo, it helps it to really stand out!

My Little Man **Noel Mignon***

Hi everyone!! I'm here today to to share another layout made with the Fresh Start kit, that is up on the NoelMignon blog. I love this kit so much...the colors are fabulous, and I love that I have gotten two very different layout looks out of it, (this layout and my princess layout).

Over the summer we love to spend as much time outdoors as possible. I was able to snatch this picture of our baby boy on his first fishing trip out last year. He, obviously, was too young to participate yet, but he had such fun watching his sisters and just enjoying the environment around us..so of course, it had to have a layout to go with it! :)

I loved that Hey Kid banner piece from Pink Paislee, and knew I wanted to use it for the color scheme on this layout, I also used it for my title. Some very simple layering and I love the finished product.

This corner here was actually done as an after thought, I originally had adhered the wood veneer speech bubble in this spot, but it just wasn't working. I went to remove it, and it tore my photo a bit, along with leaving behind some adhesive. A few simple cuts and the adorable arrow clip, and I was able to cover the spot AND it ended up being one of my favorite details of the layout!

I felt the corners need a little something more, so I just cut a few strips from that fabulous Elle's Studio paper ( I am saving every sngle scrap of that one LOVE it!) and some messy stamping was the perfect finishing touch!
Love how this kit worked absolutely perfect for both a very girly layout and a very boy layout! Noel sure knows how to put them together!! So...if you haven't yet, make sure you scoop up this deal!! Only a very limited number left!! Also, don't forget about the 50% off sale that is going on right now...good on past kits and shop items!!

Thanks for stopping in, and I hope you all have a great day, and take time to create something you love!!

First Snow and first Imaginisce layout!!!

Hi everyone!! Today I am sharing my first official Imaginisce design team layout with you all. Our assignment was to make a "winter" layout...the challenge? Imaginisce doesn't have a "winter" collection! I think I was able to put together a pretty cute not Christmas, winter themed layout using a Christmas collection!

I had these pictures of our baby boy and his first snow experience. As you can see, he was not a happy camper, lol. Since my photos were slightly darker with his and my husbands clothing, I wanted to keep my layout light and fun.  I found this great snowflake wreath in the silhouette store, and knew I wanted to use it to "house" my photos.

Then from there I simply started layering on items in the similar color scheme.

Using the knock out star border punch from American Crafts and some red glitter tape. I was able to add in just a little more of that pop of red. Then I used the negative border to add some interest and more color to the top and bottom of my layout.

A little out of the norm for me...hello, white cardstock background!! lol! I love it though, and it has exactly the soft look of winter that I was hoping for!

Hope you all have a great day, and take time to create something you love!!

Girls Totally Rock!!!

Hi everyone!!! I don't know about you all, but I am SO glad it's Friday! The hubby and I are actually going out tonight...without kids!! Doesn't happen too often, so I'm looking forward to a date night. :)

I'm here today to share a cute printer tray I made for our oldest daughter, Emma to go in her room using some fun supplies from me & my BIG ideas! That is live on the mambi blog today!  The minute I saw these fun Tween Pocket Pages cards, I knew that she would love them and they would make a cute decor piece.

I had so much fun with this. Altering cards, adding in the mambi glitter chips and glitter alpha chips, and of course some hot pink and zebra!!

I also love, love, love the pocket pages clear stickers. They are perfect for adding in just that final detail!

Thanks for hopping by today! I hope you were inspired to create something you love!! :)

Epiphany Crafts & Chic Tags

Hi everyone!!! I'm here today to share a layout with you that I made for the Chic Tags and Epiphany Crafts team up. I was so super excited when I found out we were doing a team up, and I was even MORE excited when I saw that I had gotten the Happy Place collection to play with. It had been one of my favorites, and I just hadn't had a chance to pick any up yet.

I knew instantly what photo I wanted to use, and how I wanted my layout to come together. Lots of fun colors and layers!

Since I was using so many layers, patterns, and colors I converted my photo to black and white. This was so it wouldn't be in competition with all of the color, but it would still stand out center stage.

I used the text patterned paper to create some custom brads that highlighted a few words that described this photo perfectly!

I wanted to use the "My Everything" clear embellishment for my title, but I wanted to dress it up a bit. So using my shape studio pennant 25 tool, I created a few little banners to "hang" from the bottom of the title. It gave it just enough interest, without taking away from the photo.

Make sure you stop by the Epiphany Crafts and Chic Tags blogs all week to be inspired and to enter for your chance at a couple of great giveaways!!

Have a great week, and take time to create something you love!!

Sweet, Beautiful Princess....in training

Hi everyone!!! So excited to  share my very first layout as a member of the Noel Mignon design team with you!! I was beyond excited when Virginia contacted me about joining this team. I am honored to be among the amazing talent on this team, and I absolutely love the sweet community.

So here is my first layout using the "Fresh Start" kit.

I love the colors in this kit, and it was so good to go with these photos of my oldest daughter from our recent Disney trip. The minute I saw this "princess in training" saying on one of the papers, I knew it had to be fussy cut, and used on this layout!

I had so much fun layering and just using all the fun girly elements that I could for this one! I am having  a problem with those glitter heart toothpicks...I love them so much I want to use them all, but then I love them so much I want to keep them all! ha!

I'm also up on the Noel Mignon blog today, sharing this layout and a few organizational tips if you want to head over and check it out!

Thanks for stopping in today, and hope you take time to create something you love!!!
