We R Memory Keepers CHA Release

Hi all!! A few weeks back I shared that I was lucky enough to be able to design a few projects for We R Memory Keepers using their new Chalkboard collection, that will be shipping in July.

This collection is gorgeous, and I had so much fun working with it! I wanted to share a few of the projects I made!

First up is this little mini notebook. The collection has this fun paper with chalkboard sentiments on it, and I thought it would be fun to cut one up and use it as the title of my notebook. This would be a fun little journal book to take along on a trip.

Then I had so much fun layering on this layout. The colors and patterns from this collection are absolutely gorgeous, it was so easy to be inspired!

I will have more projects to share later in the week! Make sure you visit the We R blog this week to get full reveals and enter into some fun giveaways!

I Carry Your Heart

Happy Friday!! So happy for the lazy weekend ahead after the CRAZY week of running we just had!

I did, somehow, manage to get in a little crafty time, and I wanted to share this layout with you today.

Now, this is a little different look for me, but I had this picture in my mind, and I am so glad it worked like I planned.

I really love all the little geo tags around that use a heart for the center...then when my SC Project Life kit came in for July, there was the cue little card in there with tons of arrows pointing in at this little heart filled geo. It inspired me!

I used a cut file from Two Peas for the geo, I simply ungrouped it. then sized the "tag" part to what I wanted. Then I opened my photo in my Silhouette software and played around with sizing of that and the heart until I achieved the look I wanted.

I absolutely love this little quote from the poem by e.e. cummings, and that it tied in perfectly with both my photo and the geo marker.

Have some fun stuff to share next week, until then, have a great weekend, and take time to create something you love!

Everyday Love

Hi all! Just popping in for a quick share today while the little guy is napping.

I am in " use up as much stash as possible so I don't feel bad buying new CHA product" mode! So I pulled out an old(er) favorite for the layout.

I really wanted to divide the background between these two papers, but once I had them down and started layering, it was just too much...vellum to the rescue! Love the softness it adds, and makes it where I still use the bolder colors and patters!

All papers/stickers are from Pebbles Seen & Noted. Thickers and printables from Studio Calico.

Have to run now...try to get in some laundry/scrap time while he's out! lol

Have a great day and take time to create something you love! :)

Home is Where You Are

Hi all!! Finally settling back down around here after a busy weekend, of cookouts and sleepovers. It flew by, but we all had a blast!

Today I have a project to share with you. I ordered this collage 12x12 photo from Persnickety Prints. Originally the plan was just to put it in the altered frame, but when it came, one of the photos in the collage was not blending well at all with the others. Most of these were Instagram photos, and I must have used a different filter on that one, cause it stuck out like an eye sore. So I decided to alter the print a little and see if I could make it work.

I layered up some different pattern papers from Glitz and Studio Calico, along with tags and washi. The "love lives here" die cut is from Studio Calico, I simply used my Cameo and die cut it from vellum and then layered it over some wood grain paper from Basic Grey. Adding in some other stickers, stick pins, veneer, and buttons and brads, I think finished it off nicely. The frame was a plain wood frame I picked up at my LSS. I simply cut this Amy Tangerine paper to fit the frame, adhered it, then used gesso over the top to give it a white washed look.

This will go great in my scrap room, which is finally coming together. My hubby built me an AMAZING desk this weekend! Will share pics soon! :)

Hope you all have a fabulous week, and take time to create something you love! :)

Delightful

Hi all!! Happy 4th! Hope you all have a fabulous holiday! :)

Today I'm sharing a layout I made based off the current sketch at Studio Calico, which you can see here.

Funny thing about this layout. When I started it, it was going in a whole different direction, whole different color scheme, even a completely different photo. Once I kept building on it, something just wasn't right. So I changed the photo, originally it was to be a layout of baby boy ( hard to see now, huh) and it instantly made sense.

I had major ink splatter issues on here, but decided to embrace it and give something new a try. Love the softness it gives.

Used lots of pieces from the Gossamer Blue June kit....Crate Paper "The Pier", Lilybee, Basic Grey "Mint Julep", Studio Calico, and some American Crafts.

Thanks for stoppin by today, hope you have a good one, and take time to create something you love!

You = Awesome

Hi all!! Happy Wednesday! Are you all ready for the holiday weekend? I know we are around here! Lots of fun planned.

I went to a crop over the weekend, and managed to get quite a few projects done! I'm not really sure how, since we were having a place catching up. :)

Today I am going to share a layout that I did for the Cocoa Daisy sketch challenge on the PageMaps blogs, you can see the sketch and find out the info here. The minute I saw this sketch, I was inspired. Which is really surprising, I normally stay away from anything involving this many circles, not sure why, the just don't jive with me. lol. This sketch, however, did. I had a lot of fun with it. Finally got to use my new Elle's Studio "Cameron" collection. Love this, so fun for my little guy.

Here is my layout:

It's such a nasty day here, I am telling you this photo does not do this layout justice. I think this is my new favorite! So happy with how it turned out, pretty much exactly like I pictures....which doesn't often happen! ;)

I used mainly Elle's Studio on this layout. Along with some Studio Calico, cork and veneer, Freckled Fawn paper clips, and some enamel dots. Love it! :)

I will be back soon to share some more! Until then, have a great day, and take time to create something you love!

Hello 7 Months

Hi all!! Happy Monday! So ready for this weekend to get here though! Not only is it a holiday weekend, by the hubby and I will be celebrating our 10th anniversary on Friday! I think we are going to celebrate by taking the kiddos to see Despicable Me 2! ;)

Today I have a fun layout to share. I love all the fun videos that they share on TwoPeas, and I was instantly inspired by this video and layout by Celine Navarro. Now, if you frequent my blog at all, you know that I do not do 2- page layouts, but I loved the way she did this with the larger photo, and knew it would be perfect for one of Colten's monthly pages. So I had to give it a try!

LOVE the way this turned out! It was so fun working with the larger photo, and having the extra space, but it still was able to feel like a single page layout.

I used Studio Calico Darling Dear, some Dear Lizzy, and a little Jillibean Soup on this layout.

I have tons of projects in the works, so be on the lookout for more this week.

Have a great day, and take time to create something you love!
