Hello friends!! I have a fun layout to share with you today!! My littlest has had this lovely toddler obsession with some figurines that came with some books we bought him awhile back. These little "people" as he calls them, have been a constant fixture at his side for months now, so of course, I had to snap a fun picture one day when we were playing with them in the sand box...not kidding, they go EVERYWHERE, lol.
Not often, do I have a title in mind before I start the layout..usually that is the last thing I do, and its usually quite a struggle for me, but I knew exactly they title for this one..and the photo gave me this fabulous bright color pallet to work off of...really love how this layout turned out!
I found this Dear Lizzy striped paper in my stash, honestly not sure what collection it is from, but it was perfect for what I wanted...then I knew I needed to add in some of this "you are awesome" paper from Pebbles...again an oldy from my stash. I really wanted these papers to stand out on this layout, so instead of using these papers as layers..I left the strips larger, and just stacked them on this fun background paper from Gossamer Blue. I didn't worry about them being straight on the same size, I just cut, and glued!
Then, I pulled out all the coordinating pieces in my stash, and began weeding out those that I didn't want to use...when I found this Elle's Studio card, I knew it was perfect to layer beside my photo.
Then I wanted to bring down some more embellishment by my title to balance out the heaviness of the top...with my photo, cluster, and journaling all being up there...but I didn't want everything to compete for attention...so I tried to make everything staggered. So that nothing lined up perfectly, that way it would force your eye to travel around the full page. I added in a little stamping, and a clear sticker from Mambi to add in some more black, and light embellishing.
This layout turned out even better ( to me) than I envisioned it..and I used up a lot of supplies that I have had for quite awhile...I am really loving this challenge of using what I have, and trying to downsize some of my stash!

Hi all!! Happy Tuesday! Today is our last day of "freedom", before school starts up tomorrow...and wouldn't you know its a cloudy, rainy day here! So the girls are spending it relaxing and watching movies. I'm back and forth between them, the little guy, and my scrap room! :)
I am playing along with the Summer Camp challenge over at the NoelMignon facebook group! There are tons of prizes and fun challenges. Hoping I get all of them finished as there are some guest designer spots! That would be all kinds of awesome! :)
So here is the first layout I have completed...I goes with Veronica's "S'mores" layers challenge!

My little guy has a love of pulling my hair to go to sleep, so that's what this page is all about. :)
Off to enjoy those girls some more today, and a dreaded trip to Wal Mart! lol
Have a great day, and take time to create something you love!

Everyday Love
Hi all! Just popping in for a quick share today while the little guy is napping.
I am in " use up as much stash as possible so I don't feel bad buying new CHA product" mode! So I pulled out an old(er) favorite for the layout.

I really wanted to divide the background between these two papers, but once I had them down and started layering, it was just too much...vellum to the rescue! Love the softness it adds, and makes it where I still use the bolder colors and patters!
All papers/stickers are from Pebbles Seen & Noted. Thickers and printables from Studio Calico.
Have to run now...try to get in some laundry/scrap time while he's out! lol
Have a great day and take time to create something you love! :)

You Are Awesome
Hi all!!! Happy Monday!! It's the start of a busy week here, we have VBS this week, so will be running like crazy! Really this starts a whole crazy month of activities with camps and family visits. guess the lazy summer was nice while it lasted! lol.

Very simple, as far as embellishing goes, and I still feel like it need more by the photo. Everything I tried around it distracted from it though. I love how there is all the bright and busy triangles on one side, but the photo still takes center stage. And how perfect was this Pebbles collection with that photo? Love it!
Hope you all have a fabulous day, and take time to create something you love!

Project 12: May
Hi all!! Happy Wednesday! :) I have my May Project 12 spread to share with you today. Still loving this process, and so glad I started in January!
Here's the full spread:

Pretty simple this month, I had some photo issues. I ordered a set of prints from Origrami to use for this spread, and while I loved the quality, they were a little bigger than I expected. So even after cropping/trimming them down, they took up the majority of the pocket space. Will definitely have to remember that for next time!
Hope you all have a fabulous day, and take time to create something you love! :)

Project 12: January
Happy Friday!! I am so glad its the weekend, ready for a couple days of sleeping in...no school on Monday either, so makes it even better!! :)
Today I wanted to share my Project 12 layout for January. For those of you who don't know what Project 12 is, its basically Project Life only from a monthly viewpoint, or kinda like a month in review type layout. You can find more details, and explained much better than I am, here at the Gossamer Blue blog. Speaking of Gossamer Blue, I just took the plunge and joined their kit club, I have thought about different times joining various ones over the years, just wasn't sure any would "fit" me, so far I am sooo happy with this one!! Definitely check it out if you are on the fence, fabulous price, and full of amazing product! :)
Anyways, on to my layouts.
Here is the two page spread together. ( I forgot how hard two pagers were to photograph, and being in the protectors already, YIKES!! Will definitely have to work on that! :))

A closer look at the left side:
I really had a lot of fun with this, and while its definitely a different kind of scrapping than I am used to, I love it as a monthly review, and a way to get some of those photos in the scrapbook that might not make it otherwise.
Exciting news...I will be teaching another class at my LSS in March. Its a little mini album titled "Little Moments" silly me, didn't get a picture before I took it in, but if any of you are in or around Jasper, Indiana, and would like to check it out and maybe take the class you can find the info here in the March newsletter which will be ready soon!!
Hope you all have a great day today, and take time to create something you love!!

My Little Princess
In December, both of my girls celebrate their birthdays, this year they wanted to have one big party together. After lots of discussing, cause this is serious business you know, lol, they decided to have a Princess Tea Party. It was alot of fun for both of them and their little friends. Everyone came dressed as a princess, we made crowns, sat down and drank out of our tea cups, we even had tea pot cakes..they loved it! I was exhausted! LOL!
Of course I have gobs of pictures that I love, but I picked out some of my absolute favorites and put them into this fun little mini album. I die cut all the little tea cups on Silhouette (love that thing!) and then just went to town with trims, gems, banners, anything fun girly and sparkly! :)
This is very picture heavy, but I really wanted to share a photo of every page! :) ( You can click on the photos to make them larger :))
I used mainly Pebbles, Inc. and American Crafts on this. The stamps are Lawn Fawn, and there are some trims and stickers through in there from various manufacturers.
This album is for Miss E...she loves it! :) I am asked daily, though, where Katlyn's is, so I better get busy on that! :)
This mini is one of the featured albums over at Practical Scrappers today. Make sure you head over and check out all of the other amazing albums! I know I now have some super cute ideas!! :)
